A deaf child who always prays to be able to hear the voices of beautiful nature.
Baya Village, 2008. In a homogeneous rubber forest on the outskirts of the village, LABAN (10 years old), a deaf child, was offering sajen at one of the pelinggih (Hindu prayer monuments) which was hung on a rubber tree wrapped in poleng (black-and-white) cloth. After reciting the sajen, Laban was suddenly surprised by his brother, DIKA (18 years old) who had finished taking rubber sap. Dika then invited Laban to go around the forest while taking rubber. They then talked about that later night would be the night of Siwaratri. Laban then said that if he could enjoy the night like a normal human at night.
